The Beadsmith Rathburn Polished Ring Stretcher is a premium jewelry resizing tool designed for jewelers, metalsmiths, and serious jewelry makers. Featuring a polished steel finish and precision-machined stepped mandrel, this tool delivers smooth and controlled ring enlargement for professional-quality results.
The mandrel accommodates ring sizes 8.5-15.5 and includes the following sizing increments:
- Size 8.5 (18 mm)
- Size 9.5 (19 mm)
- Size 11 (20 mm)
- Size 12 (21 mm)
- Size 13 (22 mm)
- Size 14.5 (23 mm)
- Size 15.5 (24 mm)
Constructed from durable steel and paired with a tapered expansion pin and nylon base, this tool delivers dependable performance while remaining economical and easy to use.
To use it, simply place the ring onto the stepped mandrel at the appropriate size position. Insert the tapered expansion pin into the center of the slotted mandrel and position the tool upright on the included nylon base. Using a rawhide, nylon, or non-marring mallet, gently tap the expansion pin to gradually widen the mandrel and enlarge the ring. Once the desired fit is achieved, tap the pin from the opposite side to remove it and release the ring.
Ideal for gold, silver, copper, brass, and bronze rings.
(PLEASE NOTE: Not recommended for stone-set rings, hollow bands, delicate designs, titanium, tungsten, stainless steel, or other hard metals. For best results, enlarge rings gradually and increase no more than one ring size.)
