Dive into the art of etching and elevate your craftsmanship with etchall Dip 'n Etch. Prepare for etching with etchall® dip ‘n etch by gathering your supplies: the liquid itself, the object you want to etch, a plastic container large enough to hold the object, water, and a marker or grease pencil. If your object is hollow, you'll also need marbles to prevent it from floating. A 2-liter plastic soda bottle with the top cut off works well as a dipping container; keep the top to use as a funnel for returning the dip to the jar later. Remember, because dip ‘n etch requires submerging your object, make sure to order enough for your project. To measure how much dip you'll need, set your object in the empty plastic container and fill it with water to the height of your desired etch. This will indicate the exact amount of dip required. Fill the hollow object with marbles if needed, then remove it from the container and mark the water level with a marker or grease pencil. After pouring out the water, ensure both the container and object are thoroughly dry to prevent water from contaminating the dip ‘n etch. Prepare your object by ensuring it's clean and dry, then apply any stencils, stickers, or resist gel to the parts you don't want etched. For partial dipping, use tape as a mask to maintain straight lines. Next, pour dip ‘n etch into the container to the marked level, then carefully place the object inside and leave it submerged for 15 minutes. Once the time is up, remove the object from the container and rinse it under running water. Clean it thoroughly with soap and water. Pour the dip ‘n etch back into the original jar for future use. When etching multiple objects, ensure the dip reaches the marked line each time. With these simple steps, you can achieve beautiful etched surfaces with etchall® dip ‘n etch.
