BAIL MAKING PLIER 7-9MM W/ SPRING
Description
Designed to grip and bend wire, curve shapes and create loops, the Beadsmith Bail Making Pliers are an excellent addition to any jewelry making or jewelry repair kit. Featuring high-quality steel jaws and non-slip vinyl handles, this tool can be used on most bendable wires that are used for DIY jewelry projects. The tool features two non-graduated cylinders in two size diameters: 7mm and 9mm. You can use these to create bails but wrapping connectors, filagree or sheet metal. The Beadsmith also sells other bail making pliers with larger cylinders to create other size bails, findings and components. To use, hold your connector firmly grip the center of the connector with your bail making pliers. The back side should face the smaller barrel. Next curve your connector and bend one end of the connector along the curve of the smaller barrel, then repeat on the opposite end. Finally, finish your mail. Use the bail making pliers to round out any awkward bends by gently crimping down while following the curve of the bail. You can also use chain nose pliers to align the holes on each end of the bail. Additionally, loop a jump ring through both holes, then attach a pendant and close the jump ring.
