NYLON JAW COILING PLIER NYLON FLAT JAW + ROUND
Description
These coiling pliers are brought to you by The Beadsmith. This tool is 5.5 inches long (140mm), made of long-lasting polished steel and built of box joint construction. The aqua handle is made of a foam cushion, allowing for a comfortable grip. These pliers do not have springs, which enhances your personal control over the pliers. One side of the tool has a nylon flat nose jaw, which can easily be replaced using the screws already mounted on the head. The nylon jaw is great for working wire and chain without scratching the surface of the material. You can also use them to harden wire or jump rings made with softer metals like sterling silver, gold filled and craft wire. The other side is a round nose jaw, essential for creating consistent, well-shaped bends and loops. The jaw is thickest at the base and taper to be thinner at the tip, going from a 6mm to 1.6mm. Depending where you put your wire on the jaw will decide the size of your loops. The surface on the inside of the jaws is completely smooth, not serrated. This is extremely important, to avoid marring and scratching your wire as you work with it. Use this forming plier to loop, coiI and shape your wire and sheet metal. These are great for jewelry making and fine hobby work as well as DIY projects and other arts and crafts. Whether you are a beginner or making a living with your jewelry designs, we know you will find this tool absolutely essential.
