To use the Bangle Press, follow these simple steps: Bend a length of soft wire into an open circle or oval the size and shape of the bracelet you wish to make. Refine the shape using a rawhide or nylon mallet on a bracelet mandrel or large forming pliers. Separate the two halves of the press and center your wire on the lower half (the side with the post attached). Slide the upper half of the press onto the lower half and strike it several times with a medium-weight hammer—brass or weighted rawhide hammers are recommended, but most any non-steel hammer will work. Remove the bangle from the press and size it as needed. Cut off excess wire and file the ends for an open bangle or solder them together for a closed bangle. Optionally, use a steel hammer to flatten or add texture to the wire while hardening it to retain its shape.>br>
