Featuring sliding brass holders with concave depressions at both ends—one larger for holding bigger pearls—this jig ensures a secure grip. The included hex wrench allows for fine-tuning the position via small set screws, providing precision and stability. Once your pearl is securely in place, simply insert a 1 mm (or smaller) drill bit into the hole in one of the brass holders and begin drilling. To prevent damage to the outermost layer of nacre, both holders have holes, allowing you to drill halfway through from one side and then switch to the other. For best results, use a continuous diameter drill bit that extends more than 21 mm into the brass holder.
